Description

Overview of Type K thermocouple:

A type K thermocouple is a temperature sensor commonly used with display meters, recording meters, and electronic regulators. Surface temperatures of liquid vapors and gaseous media, as well as solids, can be directly measured from 0℃ to 1300℃ in a variety of processes.

Type K thermocouple usually consists of temperature sensing element, mounting fixture and junction box and other major components. It is a clean metal thermocouple with a larger consumption at present, and its consumption is the sum of other thermocouples. K type thermocouple wire diameter is generally 1.2 ~ 4.0mm. The nominal chemical composition of the positive electrode (KP) is: Ni: Cr= 92:12, and the nominal chemical composition of the negative electrode (KN) is: Ni: Si= 99:3, and its operating temperature is -200~1300℃.

K type thermocouple has the advantages of good linearity, high thermoelectric electromotive force, high sensitivity, good stability and uniformity, strong oxidation resistance, cheap price and so on, can be used for oxidation inert atmosphere is widely used by users. Cannot be used directly at high temperature in sulfur, reducing or reducing, oxidizing atmospheres and vacuum, and is not recommended for use in weak oxidizing atmospheres.

Characteristics of K type thermocouple

Thermocouple is one of the most commonly used temperature detecting elements in industry. Must *** with secondary instrument, its advantages are:

① High measurement accuracy. Because the thermocouple directly contact with the measured object, not affected by the intermediate medium.

② Wide measuring range. Commonly used thermocouples from -50 to +1600℃ can be measured continuously, some special thermocouples can be measured low to -269℃ (such as ferronickel chromium), higher up to +2800℃ (such as tungsten-rhenium).

The structure is simple, easy to use. Thermocouple is usually composed of two different kinds of wire, and is not limited by size and beginning, outside the protective sleeve, very convenient to use.
